Details: Computer Forensic Manager/Assistant Manager Encase FTK £48-£65,000 + Bonus + Benefits London Our client a top tier consulting group is looking for a computer forensic assistant manager/Manager Encase FTK to join the current team. The group is part of a global Risk & Compliance Technology Team and specializes in the forensic capture and analysis of electronic media. Typical cases involve the capture of data from both computers and networks, and its analysis in support of litigation and/or investigation. The successful candidate will be required to use forensic software applications and other bespoke tools for the forensic collection, analysis, review and production of evidence in support of client matters. On a day-to-day basis the Assistant Manager/Manager of computer forensics will work under the direction of senior management within the team. The nature of the work will include some out of hours work and overseas travel depending on the nature of the assignments. Responsibilities Assisting the Forensic Technology team with forensic disk imaging and the searches of imaged data as well as the publication of search results for analysis by the relevant investigation teams. The maintenance of imaging equipment and the management of electronic data to ensure that it is correctly stored. Helping with the production of data in various forms such as to CD and DVD. Assisting the team with the building of environments to allow for electronic data to be examined using specialist forensic tools. Undertaking product research for the team and asset with the maintenance of the computer forensics' evidence logs and databases. Telephone and PDA forensic examination. Support the investigation team in the preparation of charts and databases. Qualifications and Skills Candidates experience should come from the computer forensic field. Proven experience in electronic discovery and evidence handling. Experience of network architectures and protocols, computer hardware, operating systems and file systems. Experienced with SQL and Access would be beneficial. Full training will be given in the forensic tools used by Forensic Technology and successful applicants will be encouraged to develop their skills through training courses and practical assignments. Experience and BackgroundTo succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate the following experience and skills: A good all round knowledge of PC-based systems, including hardware and basic Windows operating skills. Encase and or FTK experienced. The ability to focus on detail, work methodically and to be able to communicate effectively with others. Good database skills specifically experience with Access and SQL. Demonstrate ability to work within a team environment and project manage assignments. Good problem solver. Able to prioritise tasks. Willing to learn/help without being dominating or demanding. Enthusiastic and dynamic. Excellent communication skills and able to operate without daily supervision. Prepared to travel.
