Details: Our client, a well known communications organisation, is keen to expand its security team and is looking for a rounded security professional ideally with security consulting experience to join ASAP. As an Infrastructure Security Specialist you will help design, create and maintain secure and safe operating environments. You will help protect network boundaries, keep computer systems and network devices hardened against attack, and investigate suspicious traffic on the network. Further develop the risk and security assessment practices. Management and reporting of security assurance metrics and security posture reporting. Ensure that the business's are compliant with its Information Security policies and external requirements including applicable legislation and regulation. Ensure key security service providers are compliant with Security Policies & Standards. Act as a role model to motivate and engage staff, colleagues and key stakeholders to deliver the security vision/strategy. Critical Accountabilities / Responsibilities Design and implement infrastructure to protect the client's network. Conduct sophisticated security reviews of core infrastructure, applications and policies of third party vendors. Conduct network, system and application level black box testing against both internal and external targets. Evaluate the impact of current security advisories and publications Evangelize security within the client and provide security advice and guidance to diverse areas of the company. Implement the Information Security strategy through the Assurance function of the Group Information Security Team Participates in the establishment of the corporation's information security policy. Develop & manage customer, supplier and senior stakeholder relationships. Ensure security measures are deployed in line with business risk appetite; identify and promote appropriate risk / security assessments Monitoring external developments through links with professional associations, industry and academia. Strategic awareness and application of the methodologies needed to deliver effective and secure technology solutions into RMG Responsible for mitigating the risk of liabilities for potential breach of legislation ( e.g. Data Protection Act and Computer Mis-Use Act) Experience and/or Qualifications Required Mandatory Demonstrable technical and managerial achievements in each of the fields outlined above Expert knowledge of Information Security management; proven ability to work at a strategic level with business & technology on security issues & opportunities Significant Commercial experience required from product selection through to contract negotiation and on-going vendor stewardship Outstanding management, time management, interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Preferable Degree level qualification in Information Security or equivalent qualifications Relevant professional accreditation e.g. Certified Information Systems Security Practitioner (CISSP) GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Institute of information Security Professionals (IISP) IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Prince 2, Project Management Professional (PMP) The ideal person will be working at a very similar level (Head of IT Security Infrastructure) who has lots of energy and has the track record of managing a portfolio of projects from 500k to £4m Our client, a well known communications organisation, is keen to expand its security team and is looking for a rounded security professional ideally with security consulting experience to join ASAP.As an Infrastructure Security Specialist you will help design, create and maintain secure and safe operating environments.
