Details: cipal Security Manager - £60-80k + Car Allowance + Benefits Permanent City of LondonPRINCIPAL SECURITY MANAGER - £60-80k + Car Allowance + Benefits Our client, a well known communications organisation, is keen to expand its security team and is looking for a rounded security professional ideally with security consulting experience to join ASAP. This role is a rare mix of technical, security, project management and communications so we would expect this person to have excellent knowledge in these areas along with excellent presentation skills. The business requires security assurance to cover the proactive identification and investigation of computer system misuse by internal employees using a combination of Log Analysis, Computer Forensics and Network Traffic Analysis.Manage the response to security risks identified by internal and external monitoring systems, intelligence and vendor advisories.Technical Knowledge Required:Expert knowledge of one of the following areas:Computer Forensics Log Analysis and SIEM technologies.Network traffic analysis.Security Awareness and Project Management.An added bonus would be expertise with one of the following programming languages:Perl, Python, RubyWindows System administration experience.Extensive Linux/Unix user experienceDetailed knowledge of networking protocols as related to LAN/WAN and Internet traffic. Experience with Network analysis tools such as Wireshark and TCPDump. Experience and Qualifications RequiredMandatoryMinimum 3 years IT Security analysis experience or related area within a complex technology environment.Current expertise in Computer/Network/Log Analysis or Incident Response.Current expertise with running communications campaigns related to user awareness or security.SANS/Encase/FTK or equivalent certification in Incident response, Forensics or Network analysis.PreferableDegree level qualification in Computer Science or Information Security or a related discipline.One or more of the following MCSE/RHCE/CCNA/CCNP/ENCE/GCIA/GCFA
