Details: Senior IT Security Engineer – London – up to £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits This is an excellent opportunity to lead the IT Security Engineering efforts of this financial services company. The job entails defining, procuring and engineering the core IT security infrastructure for the firm. The role entails: o Working with IT Security management to identify gaps in the security toolset o Selection of products including proof of concept phases, and comparative bake-offs. o Planning and design of implementation including time lines and costs o Hands on implementation of solutions o Creation of support packs for operations o Ongoing product support for level 3 escalations REQUIREMENTS: o Have at least 7 years relevant experience in an IT Security or Information Security role o Have a good and relevant IT degree o Relevant experience with log, event and auditing management o Experience in designing IT security systems and infrastructure o Have a high level of risk-intelligence and security awareness o Familiar with scripting o Have significant and relevant experience (as 3-4th level support) in many of the following: o Network security (firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN, switching and routing devices); o Standard security products including log management, SIEM/SEM/SIM, IDS o Application development tools and languages; o Web technology and security of web based services/applications; o Operating systems security on Windows and Linux (virus prevention, IDS, desktop management tools, group policy enforcement, encryption, etc.); o Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, Cryptography and PKI; o Database systems security (Sybase, DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL server); o Good management skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join this small and growing function in a well established company that has been growing at a considerable rate (circa 2000 employees worldwide) for a number of years.
