Details: Senior Consultant/Architect up to £65,000-London. An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Top-Tier consultant group based in London. The Security consultant/architect will have to assist clients in defining their information security strategy as well as architect and design their IT security controls, often as part of an information security transformation/enhancement programme. Specific responsibilities include: • Defining an information security strategy, including guiding principles and future state vision, ensuring that the strategic objectives are aligned with business goals • Defining an IT security systems architecture to support that strategy • Analysis of IT security technologies and processes that clients already have in place and identifying potential deficiencies • Defining key initiatives that will be incorporated in any strategic roadmap, including key drivers, benefits, objectives and deliverables, in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders • Analysis and definition of functional and technical solution requirements working with security and technology senior users • Designing various types of IT security solutions across a range of security domains including identity and access management, threat and vulnerability management, risk and compliance management and encryption key management • Performing vendor assessments and technical proof of concepts to help our clients to select fit-for-purpose solution(s) • Defining information security target operating models including responsibility matrices, workflows, organisation charts and business processes To be considered, you must possess: Several years experience designing and/or implementing IT security solutions in a medium to large environment • A strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and architectures, including IT network, operating system and middleware configurations • Experience with solutions and products in the following IT security domains: o network security including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, internet / email content filtering, secure transfer protocols o operating system security including anti-malware, patch management and security event logging o access management including identity repositories, account provisioning, user authentication, access re-certification, and user activity auditing o end-point security including laptop, desktop and mobile device secure configurations o security incident and event management o application security testing and infrastructure vulnerability scanning o security risk and compliance monitoring and management o data leakage prevention including monitoring of data at rest and in storage as well as information rights management o data encryption (be it in hard drives, emails, databases and/or backups) and centralised encryption key management • Strong academics, including a minimum of 2.1 degree or equivalent • Understanding of information security principles and best practise (e.g., ISO27001 and ISF Standards of Good Practice for Information Security) • Ability to talk in the language of technical developers and then switch to the language of business managers • Man-management experience • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to think creatively to solve client needs • A willingness to work across multiple clients in the private and public sector
