Details: Cryptography Security Consultant- Application Cryptography - Encryption – PKI- Our client, our top tier financial services organisation is looking for an Application Cryptography Security Consultant to join their security team. The application cryptography security consultant will have experience of PKI, HSM and knowledge of key ceremonies, responsible for high value transaction projects. This is an operational security role based in Cheshire requiring the security consultant to manage risks and maintain a cryptographic security roadmap. The Application Cryptography Security consultant will be responsible for ensuring that any changes to service are formally risk assessed whilst continuingly improving Cryptography service. The role will require root cause analysis on any incidents reported. Excellent understanding of security concepts and technologies in the areas of Cryptography (i.e. key management systems, PKI, HSMs, application cryptography, key material handling, standard and non-standard cryptographic algorithms) Excellent understanding of secure JAVA and .NET application development, including development methodologies and frameworks, testing conditions and phases, secure digital source code signing. Excellent understanding of Application Cryptographic requirements – stream data encryption, batch data encryption, data integrity, secure code signing. Excellent understanding of Cryptographic Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and their use within cryptographic operations. Solid experience developing cryptographic applications or applications interfacing with hardware and software based cryptographic modules. Deep understanding of change disciplines including change and release management and track record of delivering change projects in a timely manner with high quality Recognized as an expert in requirements for cryptographic operations. Expert in incident response procedures and standards, strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex events to management. Ability to ‘see the big picture’ and think strategically around data protection services. Strong background in delivering privacy, compliance and data protection services. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems. Excellent understanding of wider security and control environment. Able to translate underlying technology, security, and infrastructure concepts to business requirements. Understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements around information protection, cryptography and data leakage Strong track record of implementing automation to improve efficiency of teams, operations and services Cryptography Security Consultant- Application Cryptography - Encryption – PKI-
