Details: Security IDS Analyst/Attack MonitoringLondon/£450 - £550 per day6 months + Security Attack Monitoring Analyst/Intrusion Detection Analyst is required for this high volume traffic online business. You will need Good knowledge (hands-on, conceptual and real-life) of network security monitoring solutions such as IDS, IPS, netflow and packet capture technologies. As well as good knowledge of network security systems development, architectures, and packet decoding.The role needs to lead by example in the definition, creation, implementation and operationalisation of the automation of security actions, and of the measuring and visualization of our security posture and of the current integrity status of our data globally. In particular, the role will be responsible for the operational monitoring of our IDS/IPS, network behavioural analysis and of other key systems and technologies.Provide a strong operational overview of IDS and Network Anomaly events and manage (escalate/investigate/tune) as appropriate.Fully participate in the creation of and to promote adoption of security operations procedures/RunBooks for detection and monitoring of attacks.Play a key, hands-on, role in supporting our attack and anomaly detection and continuous monitoring technologies such as through suggestions for tuning, updating the environments.Understand and provide input to the attack detection strategy, including control selection, placement and technologies used.Identify opportunities for automation and scripting of common tasks to increase efficiency.Support the creation and generation of KPIs, reporting and communication to establish situational awareness of threats and attacks.Work with other teams to ensure compliance with relevant external requirements such as PCI DSS.
