Details: Head of Security Operation Centre Our client a major media and Communications Company are looking for a Head of Security Operations Centre, experienced in running a multi-tiered SOC. This role will be working across all departments within the company including protection services, perimeter defence and physical and logical access control to ensure security is not compromised or risked. The Head of Security Operations Centre will be directly responsible for the definition of strategy as well as implementation of policies and standards. Working closely with the business the Head of Security Operation Centre will create and deliver a results oriented information security management framework. Work closely with business managers, audit and legal to understand corporate governance requirements related to contractual and regulatory compliance and to map those requirements to current security projects, objectives, risk assessment framework and ultimately the information security management framework. Develop, implement, and manage the overall process and toolsets required for the operations security strategy, work with suppliers to ensure the company has the optimum tools to manage security. Input to the development of and implement policies, standards and guidelines related to corporate governance that align to business objectives. Manage on-going monitoring and protection of facilities, personnel and information assets. Evaluate suspected security breaches and recommend corrective actions (including incidents involving outside vendors); ensure a continuous improvement methodology is in place. Serve as the focal point for security incident response planning and execution and reporting. Define and implement a Risk Assessment program, which will define, identify and classify information assets, assess threats and vulnerabilities and implement a risk treatment plan that will minimise exposure and enhance business opportunities. Risk process must be flexible enough to be applied across varying services and systems and must be compliant to operational regulatory frameworks. Provide guidance to Internal Audit function to ensure outputs are aligned to corporate governance goals and that they will assist in ensuring compliance to regulatory and contractual obligations and risk management and mitigation strategies. A university degree or equivalent work experience. Have experience of implementing and managing a risk based information security management system. Desirable to have worked within the UK telecoms and ISP environment. Clear understanding of the balance of people, process & technology in resolving, developing and implementing information security solutions. ISO 27001 / 224 / 334 implementation and management experience 3 years Leadership Experience. 5 years operational experience in a multi- Tier Network Operations
