Details: Our Client, A financial services organisation are looking for a Technical Security Analyst with experience of Intrusion Detection Systems and monitoring malicious activity using SIEM technologies. This role is an operational position responsible for detecting threats and suspicious activity affecting infrastructure, networks and common production applications for the enterprise. The role will monitor the intrusion detection system, network security monitoring, Anti Virus and other key capabilities. The role should also lead by example in the automation of security event alerting and the visualization of our attack posture and situational awareness. Key Responsibilities / Duties: Enhancing and operating the threat monitoring and malicious code monitoring controls for the company Ensure an active monitoring capability across all networks and infrastructure Automation and scripting of common tasks to increase efficiency Actively promote automation, correlation and log analysis embedded in our technology architecture Ensure compliance with relevant external requirements such as PCI DSS Interacts with Technology Executives and committees as required for the reporting of effective KPIs, situation reports and incidents
Skills Required :
Knowledge of network security monitoring solutions such as IDS, IPS, netflow and packet capture technologies
Knowledge of log analysis, correlation, SEM technologies
Knowledge of network security systems development, architectures, and packet decoding
Technical and security knowledge in a specialty such as log analysis, incident response, enterprise vulnerability assessment or remediation
Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
Flexible, confident and personally motivated to succeed
Experience within the IT / service / high transaction volume / financial services industries
